Appreciation of and participation in the arts is crucial to the healthy development of our community and our society. We could not do this work without the ongoing support of local foundations and individual donors.

Arts for Humanity! has brought participation in the visual and performing arts directly to hundreds of at-risk youth, people with disabilities and the elderly, providing life affirming experiences for which they may otherwise be deprived. This work has been made possible by working in collaboration with dozens of organizations since our inception, and with the invaluable support of local foundations such as The Wood-Claeyssens Foundation, The Towbes Foundation, The Santa Barbara County Arts Commission, Rotary Clubs, The Volentine Foundation;, Stefanie Lancaster Foundation, The Yardi Foundation, The Rex Foundation, and our wonderful individual donors.

This generous support in combination with gifts from our cherished individual donors provide critical resources that enable Arts for Humanity! to continue to work towards meeting the ever expanding needs of the community for our programs. All our programs are provided  free of charge. Arts for Humanity! relies solely on the generosity of individual donors and foundations to help us bring our empowering programs to these valuable members of our community.

By conducting our programs at the venues of existing non-profit organizations, we reduce the overhead and gain support for the recruitment of program participants. Some of the partner organizations we serve include the Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA Youth and Family Services, Transition Program, Noah’s Anchorage, Transition House, The Friendship Center, The Arts Fund, Isla Vista Teen Center, Alpha Resource Center, Garden Court, and more…

More than one third of the labor and costs to Arts for Humanity! are covered through the magnanimous efforts of our interns, volunteers and in-kind services. We attach great importance to the generosity of community members and local artists who share their time and talents with us to make Arts for Humanity!’s work more effective and bring the joy of the arts to even more of Santa Barbara’s marginalized community members.
