Creative Storytelling

Arts for Humanity! hopes that our program partners and constituents are staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. We understand that COVID-19 continues to affect our local non-profits and services for youth, resulting in on-site, in-person programs being temporarily closed. Arts for Humanity! is eager to provide program participants and their families’ support.

Arts for Humanity! hopes to help ease the strain of these challenging times and is excited to provide creative opportunities that spark the imagination and soothe the soul. We have always worked to use the arts to empower and serve, “Have You Had Your Art Today?" is here to support the growth and spirit of our community members. We see this time as more important than ever to stay true to our mission as we reach both young and old across a wide and diverse audience.

We have launched a new program called "Have You Had Your Art Today?" offering virtual opportunities that bring the creative arts directly to the lives of program participants and to community members at large. We are also offering “Creative Storytelling”!

“Two or three things I know for sure, and one of them is that to go on living I have to tell stories, that stories are the one sure way I know to touch the heart and change the world.” - Dorothy Allison

We invite you to create a story from your imagination OR write a story from your life. With Creative Storytelling, you can add a story, poem or phrase, or choose to create a collaborative story with a group. There are countless visuals available to enhance your story — or tell it with visuals alone!

We encourage you to give it a try and bring your stories to life; let your imagination run wild! Invite your family and friends to participate as well!

See instructions for adding your creative story below.
